Who we are
aagency is a small studio based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. We design and build websites on HubSpot CMS. We are the data controller for any personal data you share with us through this site.
What we collect
We try to collect as little as possible. In practice that means:
- —Anything you put in our contact form: name, work email, optional company, and the message you write.
- —Basic, anonymised analytics about which pages get visited and roughly where in the world from (country level, never your address).
- —If you email us, the contents of your email — same as any other inbox.
We do not buy lists, scrape contacts, or load tracking pixels you didn't ask for.
Why we use it
Plainly: to reply to you, to remember the conversation, and to understand which pages on this site are useful so we can improve them.
- —Replying to your messages — legal basis: your request to us.
- —Drafting a proposal if we move forward — legal basis: pre-contractual interest.
- —Aggregate analytics — legal basis: our legitimate interest in not flying blind.

Each of these has its own privacy practices. We have data processing agreements with all of them where applicable.
How long we keep it
If you write to us and we don't end up working together, we keep the conversation for 12 months and then delete it. If we do work together, we keep the relevant records for the duration of the engagement plus seven years (Dutch tax law).
Anonymous analytics is kept for 24 months.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
- —Show you what we have about you.
- —Correct anything that is wrong.
- —Delete it (within the limits of the retention rules above).
- —Stop processing it, or move it somewhere else.
- —Object to our use of it, including the analytics.
Email info@aagency.digital and a real person will get back to you within a few days. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) if we mess up.
